Android 版「Google Home」アプリ v4.8.56.0 アップデートにて追加された謎の Google TV デバイス「コードネーム：Erised」に関するコードは、Google TV / Android TV デバイスのセットアップ時に用いられる 8 桁のセットアップコードや QR コードを画面上表示するフローに関するコードです。つまり謎の Google TV デバイス「コードネーム：Erised」は、従来の Google TV デバイスと同様のセットアップフローとなることがわかります。

また、既存の「Google TV Streamer（YTC）」や「Chromecast（YTV / YTB）」とは明確に区別されていることも判明しています。
